What does it say next to Chipset item? (not sure about the name)
Did you get your laptop model from the sticker at bottom of laptop?

ok I am home and I got the recovery disc in the drive... I have never needed to use on before so I am not sure what or where I should be looking for anything.
Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility (Chipset INF)
Says nothing next to product detected and nothing next to current version installed.
And Yes I got my laptops model # off the bottom of the Computer.

Thanks Denco,
I got the Ethernet Driver up and running. Now for that pesky SM Bus Controller Driver.

Really odd, I can not find your laptop on Samsung website either. Found some info, just question: Does your laptop have USB 3.0? If yes, does it work now?
Hi there ..... Insert your Recovery Disc into the dvd drive ...... Then browse files and look for the Drivers
Denco, I have found my laptop on Samsung's website. It is under notebooks and in the drop down window for models its all the way at the bottom listed only as NP300E5E
Maxie, I have a lot of files and folders named boot on the disc but none of them open up into anything that would be drivers. So I assume I did not create a proper recovery disc..
Great news :) You will be able to download the Drivers from there .... The disc which you made was a Repair Disc .... Once you have every thing up and running .... I would advise you to make a set of Recovery Discs.
well i guess I need to ask.. if I use this disc it will revert my system back to windows 8? Correct?
You can create a System image ..... This would restore your system back to what it is now Windows 7 .... And would include all the programs you have installed .... This would be best done on an External drive .... When it comes to doing it there is always plenty of help here if needed .
lol you just stumbled into one of my other problems ive forgotten about.. the external 1TB hard drive I have doesnt want to format for me.. so I cant put anything on it..
Prolly should open a new thread for that one though huh?
