    Base System Device Problem?


    i got question mark on my system device in Devise Manager...

    what driver or software should i install? my laptop is dell inspiron 1420

    can you go into device manager go to the question mark>right click it>go to properties>details>pull down device description toll you see hardware IDs. take a screenshot of it and upload to us.

    Hello Kupalski,

    I believe it will be the Ricoh driver download listed under the Chipset section at the Dell driver webpage below. The only problem is that Dell only has 32-bit Vista drivers available for your computer model. These will work fine in a 32-bit Windows 7, but not a 64-bit Windows 7.

    I did find these 64-bit Vista drivers for the Ricoh R5C833 that may work for you though.

    how do u install win7 64bit???


    i have try changed settings SATA both achi and ata, both also cannot continue the installing win7 64bit step.
    the problem i meet is b4 go into the select drive to install,
    it ask me load driver, it required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing.
    how do u solve this?

    @jacky45 the easiest way to install windows Seven if your having cd/dvd driver missing problems is to create a Windows Seven USB drive ISO and install it form their. USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create Here is also a long thread with the same problem and a lot of different solutions or suggestions. CD/DVD Driver missing on install Fabe
