    Scanner Canoscan N1240OU installation


    I am having difficulty (I cannot install) installing twain driver. What to do now?

    All other required programs have been installed but cannot run scanner because SC-Toolbox does not recognise.

    Simple instructions would be great - thanks in advance

    Hi there ... I take it you are trying to Install the Vista Driver .... The manual should help you .... Or does the Vista driver not work ?

    I do not have a manual that covers the installation of the twain driver

    Maybe I should just install VueScan?

    Having checked VueScan ... It may well work On the down side though it is not Free

    I have downloaded a trial version to see if it works. Not being used on my computer so will install scanner and software on friend's computer and see what the result is. If it works then I may buy the software to use myself.

    Installed on my friend's computer and works well, BUT it does have to be paid for otherwise it watermarks all photos etc

    Would be happy to hear of any FREE software.
