    Driver trouble

    Hi Gang

Having trouble getting my Epson R380 printer drivers to work with Win 7. I know it will be released very soon, Oct 22nd. So I would like to get this printer installed. I am presently using Win 7RC, and have tried several times to get it installed with no luck. I had it networked with my other XP computer and it worked ok but every time I wanted to print something I had to turn the XP computer on. So I decided to connect the USB straight from the printer to my Win 7 computer, and have been trying to get installed ever since with no luck. I went to the Epson site and got the Vista drivers for it and they would not work either.

    Any help appreciated

    Thanx...Gunny

Please fill in your user cp at the top of your page go to edit system specs.
Thanks. This is an Epson Photo R380 You said you went to the Epson site and tried the Vista drivers. Did you try and install them in compatibility mode? right click on the setup.exe file then properties the check the run in compatibility mode, Vista. Run as administrator. See if this will help. Hi thefabe

Excuse me I have been meaning to do that, it is done. It helps to have all the tools if you are going to try to fix something, sorry. I will try what you have suggested, and I will let you know what happens. I will remove all previous installs of the printer to start with a clean slate. I think that download of the drivers is a zip file.

    Thanx again...Gunny

    Hi the fab

Like I said it is now working, when you go to the Epson site for the Vista drivers, it also has in the download site wording, it now supports Win 7 32 and 64 bit drivers. So any one with an Epson printer should be good to go. The 22nd is getting close.

    I appreciate all your help.

    Thanx...Gunny
