USB Controller for USB 2.0 not working - Must reinstall on bootup

My USB controller for my USB 2.0 port is having some issues. It will power devices but will not recognize them. After reinstalling the controller in Device Manager I can use devices on this port. But after I reboot I'm back in the same situation as before. I'm really looking for a way to get this driver to work and STICK. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi there .... Why does it say in your System specs .. That you have Windows 7 Starter .. Have you changed to Ultimate Lately ?.. Also where did you get the Driver from ?

Ahh because I used this forum first with an old system. About the drivers, I had the problem first with the stock drivers installed by Windows 7 and manually installed them from my Asus CD as well. No difference. Have the same problem with both. Just updated so everything is current hoping that might fix the problem but it didn't.

Yes, 64 bit. I've attached a screen capture of my device manager. No matter what I do, once I reboot i have a problem with the same controller. But after I reinstall the drivers the usb works for the rest of the session. Pretty odd.
