Money spent, drivers not updating. :(

Guys,

I am having a problem getting my USB 3.0 drivers updated so I can use displaylink software.

Here is the problem as discussed on the Displaylink forum..

Renesas Update - DisplayLink Forum

Any help would be greatly appreciated as after spending close to 90 on the WPCTVPRO I would be a bit miffed if I cannot get it going.

TIA.

KBL

Hi,
Here you go, try this one from Sony :

Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers

Thanks, but that is the version that is already installed.

I want to update 2.0.32.0 with 2.01.032 before trying the final update as shown in the link in first post.

Seems like your question was answered by Sony:

Code:
Thank you for contacting Sony. We acknowledge that you would like
to update your VAIO USB drivers but you cannot locate them.
The only available USB driver edition for your VAIO can be downloaded
from the link below:

I can't believe that a top of the range Vaio that is little over a year old can not have it's USB 3.0 updated.

I have contacted Sony again asking them why it has cost me so much money to buy a top of the range Vaio off them that is basically out of date after a year.
Not impressed.

Thanks pebbly.
I have tried that before but the problem I am running into is the driver that the new update is trying to replace is version 2.01.032.
I have as the current driver 2.0.32.0. I therefore assume that as the expected driver 2.01.032 is not present it is not completing the update to the latest 2.1.36.0.
I have been trying to find 2.01.032 and update to that before trying the final update of 2.1.36.0.

I need to update all my drivers. I have tried to do it the traditional way through the control panel but my drivers claim to not need updating. Is there another fix? I would prefer not to download driver update software that requires me to pay them for updating my drivers. Thanks in advance....
