    Belkin F5D7000 Drivers not working

Have just installed W7 Home Premium, I installed my Belkin F5D7000 PCI wireless internet adaptor drivers, installed the card when prompted and when I rebooted, the computer got to the starting windows screen then booted again and went into black screen mode giving me the option of starting windows normally (didn't work) or system repair, system repair then did a system restore and therefore I lost the drivers. I reinstalled the drivers and it all works so long as I don't turn my PC off. I have tried to use windows device manager to update the drivers but it reckons they're up to date. So now i'm stuck, any help will be greatly appreciated

    Spinner,
Welcome to SevenForums, Did you try to install your driver in compatibility mode?
Looks as if there are some vista drivers that should work. Good luck to you

    --- THIS WORKS ----

I posted a solution on these forums yesterday for the Belkin card, but now I can't find it.

You need to use the list of built in drivers, but to get the driver on that list you need to install the win32 drivers from the RaLink web site.

YES the 32 bit driver WORKS on win 64bit. <- I have it working now.

Oddly, Win 7 has the driver for the RT2500, once you install the RaLink driver, (Its the chip set that the Bbelkin uses) but it doesn't recognise it.

Get to Device Manager, Right click, -> Update driver -> Browse -> Let Me Pick -> Network Adaptors -> RaLink Technology INC. (last one) -> then look for RT2500.

    And your done!

There are only 2 versions of the F5D7000 that will work if you have the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium and they are V7xxx and V8xxx but the drivers are for Vista 64. I made an assumption you have the 64 bit version an if that is wrong and you are using the 32 bit version then your card has to be a V4xxx or above with Vista drivers. You might want to check which version you have.

This led me to a corrupted installer, that did absolutely nothing. Also, the only RT2500 that shows on my Network adapter choices for manual download is RT2500 USB wireless Land Card, and its not USB..

Hi i'm not sure what you mean!

The PCi card 64bit driver for 2500 is above the usb one
    Ralink corp.

Maybe you have a different version card if driver won't load!

Apparently the downloader didn't actually download correctly, I got everything working perfect now. :)
