    Bluetooth problems

I have an issue with bluetooth after installing build 7100.

I am using a HP notebook dv2715tx and have installed the latest ANYCOM BT driver which shows up as Broadcom 6.2.0.8200 (23/03/2009) on BT properties in device manager.

The BT icon shows in the tray but when I try and access any of the features "open settings" "show bluetooth devices" etc nothing works, the only item which opens is the "add a device" dialog box.

However when I try to connect my logitech BT mouse "add a device" does not find it but when I look in device manager under mice it appears and disappears from the device list as it is made visible?

( I have installed the latest logitech driver for this mouse which is supposed to be Win7 compatible)

I believe that I need to set up a pairing with the PC and mouse but cannot access the settings dialog to do so nor can I make my PC visible to enable pairing with other devices as I cannot access the settings.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver several times and have reverted to MS default driver and HP latest driver all of which have the same issue.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Oh my god guys, I registered JUST FOR YOU. Stupid forum, I hate how I have to register in order to reply. I almost gave up.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM
I DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE and here is my solution.

Some ****ty bluetooth software basically disable the windows
    "Bluetooth Support Service"

So go control panel services and ENABLE the "Bluetooth Support Service"

AFTER I DID THAT, ALL MY Bluetooth menu options started working

    PFFFFFF I am sooo relieved.

    Easy way out..

Start > Run > type in "Services.msc" without quotes, find blutooth support service, go properties, where it has manual, change to automatic, click OK, right click blutooth support service again, and go start, and voila :)

i had this problem when im using any windows 7 build 64 bits. It works fine in 32-bits for all build.

    Conclusion:64bits unstable...

@ G2gcya, Your conclusion is incorrect here..., there's nothing "unstable" about w7 64bit, maybe a few problems here and there..

have you ever thought it may be your hardware that is the problem?

maybe you should find out before you go about badmouthing the forums..
