Asus N53SV drivers for Widi and TV setup

Good morning, everyone.

I'm not sure if I should have posted these questions in the Driver section or the Hardware section of this forum so here I am. I am just about finished setting up my laptop with a clean Windows 7 install. Just a few more drivers left to install. I have two questions I could use some help getting answers for.

I have an Asus N53SV-DH72 with a second generation i7 processor. I believe the laptop supports Wireless Display (WiDi) and Asus has a driver for this on their support website, version It's a bit dated though and I was wondering if I will be safe installing the current version driver for Windows 7 from the Intel website. It is version

Secondly, I'm wanting to setup Windows Media Center and Asus has two TV drivers available but I'm thinking this model laptop does not support or have TV hardware so this may be a moot point. If it did support TV, I didn't know which of the two Asus drivers to install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I would use the Asus drivers. Sometimes manufactures have custom drivers for their hardware.
