| | W7 x-64 Enterprise cursor randomly jumps when typing Hi all didn't happen on Ultimate but I decided to get greedy and install Enterprise (got a Technet account). Anyway SERIOUS problem -- I use 3 different keyboards (external USB ones) regularly - Icelandic, Dutch (Belgian AZERTY not NL) and UK English so I need to ensure what I type gets written to the screen correctly. What happens on some Laptops is that the cursor randomly jumps around - especially on typing on things like FORUM input areas so that the input text becomes totally garbled. I've fixed it by disabling the Touchpad -- the Synaptics Vista x-64 driver works fine on most laptops I've played with. You can set it to automatically disable the touch pad or present a screen at startup from which you can disable it / make other adjustments. Then the problem goes away. - I Hate touchpads anyway but the last time I had this problem was a while ago with XP. Cheers jimbo |
