Netgear WNDA3100 wireless adapter

I have just purchased a Windows 7 Home Premium PC and want to use the Netgear WNDA3100 wireless adapter to access my dual band n wireless network. Netgear doesn't have the drivers yet and can't tell me when they will have them. Anyone know of a dual band adapter that will work?

I'm going to assume this came with a driver cd? If so they have Vista drivers? Place cd in drive. right click on that drive and click open in new window>find the setup.exe file>right click to properties>compatibility.check the run in compatibility mode choose either XP or Vista>install as administrator. This has worked with other driver issues hopefully yours as well good luck and welcome to seven froums. Hello Bullmoose, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Netgear as a Vista driver available at their website link below that should work in Windows 7. If it does not install normally, then you may need to use Compatibility Mode on the driver to install it.

Answer

Hope this helps,

WNDA3100v2 works with win 7

I am using windows 7 and Netgear USB Adapter WNDA3100v2. The resource disk contained the software and it installed without a hitch.
Older versions of the adapter seem not to work with 7.

To an admin, if you could make this a sticky that would be awesome 'cause "ryanandkevin's" solution works flawlessly, and this could help a ton of people.

I've used these drivers on three different WNDA3100 adapters for over a week now and they work great!!!

Thanks again ryanandkevin for a great soultion!!
