    Driver Updates

It's pretty bad when I can't determine (on my own) whether or not something is an "ad" or if it is a necessary accessory - but that seems to be the way it is. Question: is this a download that should be part of my PC toolbox? Thanks for your input.

I haven't personally used this service, but from past experience with others, I have learned NOT to use these kinds of services. Some install older drivers, others install the wrong drivers. Best approach is usually to go to the hardware manufacturer site to get drives.

If you really want such service, just try Driver Booster, DriverMax or SlimDrivers.

Not really. Just wanted to know if the 'pop up' for this software was either vital or recommended.

I would avoid any so called driver service. The only driver service you need is already installed. Devise Manager.

These are services which install old drivers and even incompatible drivers. Those are the three most common programs I always see installed.
