New windows 7 pro 64-bit full retail install

I have NO idea where to get the drivers for this install. They should be on the cd.
Then how do I install them and in what order????
Thanks for this site and your help.

    Hello Phenix,

Do you mean for after you have installed Windows 7?

By default, Windows will include generic drivers for most devices.

However, it's best to get the latest driver versions directly from the device manufacturer's driver download webpage. The link below has the drivers available for your HP Pavilion p7-1380t.

Software & driver downloads HP Pavilion p7-1380t CTO Desktop PC | HP® Support

    Hope this helps, :)

    Thank you very much Brink.
You explained the situation very nicely.
One of the reasons for this new install is to get away from the junk from HP.
I hope their drivers aren't full of it.
Really hesitate to go on their site and download anything.

    You're most welcome.

I don't blame, but those would only be the device drivers. :)

I am a long time HP user, at the moment a few HP laptops and desktops in our household. Never had any issues with their drivers downloads from HP Support.

My procedure is always the same when getting an HP: Boot with a clean (original Microsoft one) install media, install chipset, video, audio and storage drivers from HP Support, then run Windows updates as many times as new updates are found. First then I start with software installations.

Really I have never had any issues doing like this. HP driver downloads for Windows computers only include the drivers. No bloatware.

Assuming I've got the correct drivers downloaded, where do I put them in Windows 7 pro 64-bit
    and in what order?

You would just need to run and install them. :)
