i was able to download the windows 7 drivers for the 82865 series from the intel site, i downloaded the zip
went into device manager, went to the 'unknown video device' and did an 'update driver'
i selected browse my computer for the driver
'let me pick a driver', 'all devices', then 'have disk'
browsed to the graphics driver folder\graphics
selected the inf file there, then picked the intel 82845 from the list, said yes at all the selections
anyways, after rebooting, the graphics driver for the 945 is being loaded!

Better solution, with no problems of freezing when maximizing the media player as with with the 6.14.10.3732 driver.

    1. Click 'Start' and in 'Search' type 'msconfig'. On the boot tab, tick 'OS boot information' (this is to get rid of the blue screen during boot). Exit but don't restart now.

    2. Download http://justendeal.com/driver/855gm_vista_driver.zip unpack and then update "standard vga adapter" with this driver, make sure you choose that you have a disk and point to the directory where you unpacked the zip.

    3. Reboot. Now you have version 6.14.10.4656.

    HELP!!! Graphics issue!!

I just upgraded my friends Dell Inspiron 1150 from XP to Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit and EVERYTHING works on here except the graphics!!
I too have the Intel(R) 82852/82855 Graphics Controller that has the yellow exclimation mark in the device manager. Everytime i update it it rolls back at the reboot. I have ONLY one resolution to see and that's 640x480. I've tried several of the ideas that people have posted with no luck though
People keep reffering to this link:
    http://justendeal.com/driver/855gm_vista_driver.zip
But when i click on it it's a dead link. This is the last thing stopping me from finishing this laptop upgrade!! Please someone help me!!
    Thanks

    Windows 7 SP1

I was wondering if anyone with the Intel 82852/82855 Graphics controller/driver version 6.14.10.3722 has upgraded to SP1 -- and if the update reverts back to the Standard VGA Adapter--as it did when updating from Windows XP to Windows 7. The only solution that worked for me was posted by Lexxion--but was very time consuming--I'm not sure I want to try again!!!

    Windows 7 SP1

Thanks kensiko for the reply--I decided to upgrade to SP1. The upgrade went great and the graphics driver stayed with 6.14.10.3722. This old Dell Inspiron 700m is running great!!

Just Change Your Motherboard Into 945 and you able to install Intel 82945G Express Chipset and you also able to use Aero. And after you change your motherboard re-install windows 7.
