Cannot get drivers to work for Samsung R440L

    Hey team,

Im reformatting my sisters old Laptop. It has Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit from OEM, but when she got the computer, she never received any disks to reinstall or anything. So I am installing Windows 7 Home Basic retail 64 bit.

The installation worked, but none of the wireless drivers hosted on samsungs site are able to make the wirless be detected.

I talked to samsung and they said that because the installation was 64 bit, that the computer was optimized for 32 bit.. yet, the drivers in the site are for 64 and 32 bit...?

I really don't know what other drivers to try. Any help is highly appreciated.

Did you check to see if it has a recovery partition? If so you could use that to restore to factory state which would include all drivers.

Post a snapshot of a fullscreen Disk Management:

To open Disk Management, press Windows key+r, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter or click GO. Make it full screen.

Screen capture: How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista - Vista Forums (says it's for Vista but also works with Win 7/8).

Once you have the image saved, click on the Paperclip Icon next to the Smiley Icon.
In the Manage Attachments window, click Browse and navigate to where you saved the image and select it.
    Click the Upload button.
    Close the Manage Attachments window.
Click on the Paperclip Icon again and select the image you uploaded. It will be placed in your post.

If so, it shows two 64bit wireless drivers. Did you try both of them?
