    Dell Latitude D600 Windows 7 Drivers needed


    not much more to be said i guess.
    i have a dell latitude D600, and i need drivers for it, mainly the ethernet (it doesn't work right out the box with windows 7).
    any help would be much appriciated. thanks in advance

    Im assuming you went to support.dell.com and checked. You can use their vista drivers for 32 bit by installing them in compatibiliy mode.

    Let us know if that doesn't work

    first of all Thanks,
    but the dell site doesn't offer drivers for the D600 for vista, only XP and 2000.
    any other ideas??

    Sorry

    try the xp drivers. to run in compat, right click the setup file>properties>compatibily tab>set to XP sp2. Its old that is probably all that is out there.

    Let me know if they dont work. we can find out from the hardware ids what chipset it uses and see if we can find a generic driver using the samechip set.

    Thanks again, but still no luck.
    The Laptop has never been upgraded, so if you can find the original specs, they should still be right.

    Ok let me see if I can figure out what the generic equivilant is.

    well, i was able to get my Ethernet controller working Yay!
    i downloaded the broadcom 57xx Integrated controller for windows 7 from their site.
    now i'll try and use driver max hopefully to get the rest of my drivers.
