    Big painful drivers problem

Hi everyone, I start by saying that I'm new in this forums, and I've just registered here with the hope to find finally the solution to my problem.

So here's what my problem is about: in every game that I play, starting from old ones like GTA San Andreas to the new one like Battlefield Bad Company 2, I get a black screen, with the sound playing in the background and the only thing I can do is restarting the pc everytime.
What's worse is that it happens randomly and not furthermore than 1-2 minutes that I'm in the game, it's just a matter of time.

I've tried very many solutions, basically all the ones I read into all the 200 topics I found regarding this, but nothing fixed my problem: firstly cleaned my PC inside as I was told that was a solution, then I uninstalled all the ambiguous programs or even those very large, then I even formated (2 days ago).

Just today I started installing programs back, ESET antivirus and only the very important ones, trascuring the useless ones.

As soon as I installed the drivers, I got again that problem which pissed me off a lot after all what I've done: what's very hilarious is that I installed the latest AMD Catalyst Drivers (13.9 and then tried also 13.12 if I'm not wrong), which in the description are described as the appropriate ones.

My graphic card is AMD Radeon 6700 HD Series, and my operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I will be very grateful to whoever gives me a solution to this painful problem.

Thanks for advance and I hope I will finally find my solution and the begin of my peace!

PS: I'm not really much into computering, but I tried to describe my problem as detailed as I could, if you guys need any other information I will provide it.

Are the fans on your Vid card working? Sounds like the card is getting hot..

If your graphics card even has a fan(s) on it. A lot of graphics cards dont necessairly have them.

Also keep in mind even with fans a regular dust out with compressed air of the CPU, GPU, PSU and all case fans is recommended at least 2-3 times a year and if on for long periods or with pets or high dust then every 30-45 days would be my recommended interval.

What is your PSU make and model? When was the last time you cleaned your rig completely?

I agree with line; its always a good idea to get in the habit of cleaning the dust out of the computer case and components as dust can create a blanket like effect that may cause components to get too hot and can cause issues.

Can someone explain me what a "fan" is please? also about cleaning the dust out of my PC, I did that no more than 4 days ago.

Update on the status: in the BIOS settings I ticked the option "Run on full performance" instead of the controlled one, and I start running games on x16 bit colors...didn't get a blank screen yet till now, BUT right 30 minutes ago I got one more again on firefox.

Regards and thanks those who are trying to help me out.

Edit: now again happening a lot.
