Windows 7 - acer aspire 4920 drivers for windows 7

i have a acer aspire 4920 laptop but can not find many drivers for windows 7 x64, the acer website doesnt provide any, any ideas would be greatfully accepted.

they do have vista 64bit drivers Acer Europe - Service & Support, Drivers & Utilities, Downloads, Notebook, Aspire 4920 and all you need to do is to install in compatibility mode. to do this you right click the driver>properties>compatibilit mode> set to vista>install

Are there Windows 7 32-Bit driver available for aspire 4920?

I am in the middle of formating my hard drive and erasing Vista and installing Windows 7, dunno if it is gonna be the 32 or 64. bit though.So Luke and Sticko I am very intrested in hearing how you found your drivers....And how is it working?

i just installed windows 7 64-bit on my friend's acer aspire 5735. After looking around for drivers I used:

Acer LaunchManager Application - downloaded from aspire 5736G Windows 7 page (this may have enabled my volume buttons)
Acer ePower Management Application - downloaded from aspire 5810T Windows 7 page (this may have enabled my volume buttons)

the order i installed in was:

all other acer tools (Empowering Technology Framework, eRecovery Management Application, and eSetting Management Application) were not available in windows 7 64 bit versions anywhere I could find, and I haven't found anything not working yet so.. enjoy!!

If you look for your hardware drivers on other similar acer download pages that have some windows 7 drivers, you may be able to get everything working. You can probably use some from the above list also. Especially the 2 acer tools.

I have no idea why acer put only 2 or 3 drivers for aspire 4920 windows 7 32-bit.I'm so sick of them i even tried calling up service center and the reply i get is "we can't help if your warranty period is over".This is total WTF.

just after looking for a few seconds.. it appears the aspire 4925 list a few windows 7 32-bit drivers.

You need to make a list of all of the hardware components you need drivers for.
copying info out of device manager BEFORE a reinstall works well. After a reinstall, try everest home free edition or pc wizard (cpuid) from download.com to identify your hardware. Look through all similar models and look for the appropriate drivers for windows 7 for your hardware. For some reason, Acer lists some newer laptops with more windows 7 drivers than an older model, even if they have the same hardware! Make sure the "vendor" or manufacturer of each device driver found from a different model laptop, matches what is listed for the 4920 with VISTA 32-bit.

Follow my list above so you know what types of info to look for.. You may want to add bluetooth if your computer has a bluetooth module.
