I read through the article but it doesn't give me ideas about what I should do (I'm not a computer expert). I do have the option of just backing up my files and reinstalling Windows. Overkill, but at least it would fix things.

If course, that is always your choice. I would not recommend it until we have tried every available option. Like you said, at this point, it's a bit of an overkill. Besides, we have other techs here who are I smarter then me, so let's just try another approach. OK?

On the Other items, right click the device and select Update Driver Software ... (and cross your fingers ).

I will wait and see if others can give advice that might help.
In the meantime I will try your suggestion, although I think I might have done that already.
Thanks for taking the time to help me

I am sorry, but "Blank" I do not understand.
Do you mean that the last suggestion was not successful?

Sorry, my fault. I did a double post and edited the second one to "Blank". I have since updated that post.

You mean from 'System Information'? I found a section called USB, here's the details:

1) Ugh. Dell site lists the web cam driver under Keyboard & Input Devices! (s/b under Video). Try the Quanta web cam driver

2) That looks like a Logitech mouse. Did you get it from Dell? Try the Logitech Mouse/Keyboard drivers are also on the Dell site (look under Keyboard & Input devices)

3) I also would've guessed the JD Micron driver Gandalf gave you would work. And I don't see the device listed in your last post. Do you still see that same device listed in Device Manager as an Other device?
