    Sounds like the USB Mass Storage driver may be either disabled or corrupt. (fyi.. keyboards and mice aren't USB mass storage devices so wouldn't be affected)

    So, let's first check if it's disabled. Run regedit carefully navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\USBSTOR verify Start= 3
    (If =4 then it's been disabled)

    Have you tried ALL of the usb devices you have? If not i might try other usb devices and see if they work when you plug them in. If not then post again and we can go from there.

Not sure if installed correctly

So I just built a new pc and I was installing Windows 7, but I did not realize that my product key was only for upgrading, therefore the product key kept failing. So I took my Windows XP disc and tried to install that but my pc would not boot from the CD-rom, it just kept going to the Windows 7...
WMP12 was so slow at scrolling down my libary, that I decided to downgrade to WMP11, which unfortunately didn't fix the issue, so I decided to try and get WMP12 back, and it now everytime I try to open the program, it says that it's not installed correctly and needs to be re-installed. I tried...
