    Two things to try:

    1) unplug the device. Open Disk Management (Right Click Computer->Manage->Disk Management). Insert the device. You'll see it appear as a new Disk in the lower pane. Right click it and assign it a new drive letter.

    2) Do you have Samsung Kies installed? Try uninstalling it. I've seen it interfere with WPD (windows portable devices) before

Some of the Lexar Devices require a Firmware update before they will work .. Try the Device in a USB 2 Port ..

Hi there ... Have you tried the Card Reader in another Computer ... It does not require a Driver .. Strange that the Manufacturer states it only works with Windows 7 Vista and XP ...

Just been reading on some Forums that it did not work in Vista 64 Bit OS .. Could that be the problem .. If you know some one that has a 32 Bit OS .. I think you should try it in there Computer ... At any rate it might be a good idea to contact Lexar Support ...

    Hi!

    Try to locate in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\UMDF\

if the .dll are all there (see screenshot)

if not or missing some, then go in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ (see screenshot)

and try to find the .dll missing and paste it in UMDF folder. Reboot.
