Windows Server 2008 Won't Detect My Ethernet Controller

Windows Server 2008 won't detect my Ethernet Controller: Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20).

    I am running Aspire 7750.

I would like to try a different Lan driver, if anybody can suggest a substitute.

I copied Ethernet Controller: Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20) into a pen drive, logged off from C: drive and opened Windows Server 2008 R2. Then, I copied the driver into Windows Server 2008 R2. I don't remember exactly where I copied it within Server 2008. Then, I clicked on the driver folder to open the contents, then, I clicked the SET UP. And instantly got internet.

I was surprised to know that I needed to install the same driver on two different partitions on one hard drive.
