Driver exchange

Is there a place where people can exchange drivers? I've got a rare driver for a scanner for Win7 which is not officially supported for this OS. The driver works for me. Where can I share it?

I'm not sure that is allowed. It would be too easy for someone to disguise virus/malware as a driver.

I'm not quite sure I understand how a driver can be 'rare'? Were there only like 50 copies or so made?

The scanner does not support Win7 officially. The installer is 16-bit, so it does not install on 64-bit Windows. So to install it one has to unpack the 32-bit installer under a 32-bit Windows. It took me half a year to find this method, I thought that it will never work on my system.

The scanner is Plustek 1248U.

You could have put that in the thread title to make it easier to search for.

Put it on OneDrive (SkyDrive) or something like that.

There was a member a while back that used an ftp for a bunch of Sony drivers right after 7 came out, I don't think you need that for one driver though.

Some drivers don't work well. Perhaps they're tested "over-easy"! Would that also make them "rare"?
