now i think the file [0] is an archive and i tried all the usual program [winrar,7zip,winzip etc] nothing worked

can anyone make sense on how to get out the drivers out of there without installing them?

Hi

Please try the below steps.

1. Download innounp ( inno setup unpacker )from the below link.

Inno Setup Unpacker - Browse /innounp/innounp 0.40 at SourceForge.net ( innounp040.rar)

Readme : innounp, the Inno Setup Unpacker

2. Create a new folder in the root of a partition ( for example, D:\Test )

3. Extract the zip file and copy innounp.exe to the "Test" folder. Also copy the driver setup exe file to the folder and rename it to something small like "atheroz" ( any small name without spaces ).

4. Open a command prompt and navigate to the "D:\Test" folder. Alternatively hold the "Shift" key and right click on the folder. You will see an option "Open Command Window Here".

Open Command Window Here - Add or Remove Shift + Right Click

Now enter the extraction command like this :

innounp -x atheroz.exe

Hopefully the setup will be extracted successfully.

I tried running that file but can't. Qualcomm checks if you have the Qualcomm hardware installed before it unpacks that file.

But let me ask: Just what are you trying to accomplish? What driver are you trying to get? There may be another approach.

When i look at the release notes for the download I see it contains several drivers
> Which driver file do you want?
> Also, go to device manager, right click the device you want the drivers for, select Properties->Detail tab. Select Hardware IDs from the pull down menu. Copy/paste what you see

You could do the following:
> Install the software suite (which includes the drivers)
> Run Double Driver (to backup installed drivers)
> Uninstall the software suite

You now have a copy of the extracted drivers you want in the Double Drivers backup
