    Issue with Universal Serial Bus (usb) Controller


    Today I clean installed windows 7 Home Premium x64 on my Toshiba Satellite S855D-S5120 Laptop. Everything has been going smoothly until I updated the drivers. It's been an all day battle trying to find these drivers since the computer came installed with Windows 8.

    Here are the compatible id's for the drivers

    PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7812&REV_03
    PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7812
    PCI\VEN_1022&CC_0C0330
    PCI\VEN_1022&CC_0C03
    PCI\VEN_1022
    PCI\CC_0C0330
    PCI\CC_0C03

    The device says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

    There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.


    To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."

    Yet, when I click search online for drivers it finds nothing. I had it working earlier in the day with the drivers that I manually downloaded online but when I restarted the computer the devices plugged into the USB port become unresponsive on boot.

    If you can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Edit: I also want to add that I'm not sure why the device is usb 3.0 when i only have usb 2.0 ports on my laptop

    Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. I could not find your Model Number any where on the Toshiba Website .. How ever you issue points to a Chipset Driver .. Which you can find in the Link below ..

    Ok, i tried installing it but it gave me an error and told me computer did not meet the minimum requirements. I think it was made for windows 8.

Hiya.....just done a clean install retail Windows 7 Home Premium OS and have not been able to locate driver for the above. Hi, I have a vertex 3 240gb ssd and asrock z68 extreme4 motherboard (I plugged the ssd into one of the sata slots which I believe are the same). For universal serial bus (USB) controller it tells me: the driver is not installed (code 28) How can I correct this? thanks
