Reinstalled W7 but Internet not connecting, Ethernet Driver missing

    Hi,

I reinstalled my Windows 7 pc and all of a sudden I am not able to connect to the Internet. On the Net I found that other people who had the same problem found out that Ethernet drivers are missing.

When I look at my Device Manager my ethernet adapter has exclamation marks and when I look at the properties it says "Unknown" as to what type it is.

I do not know what to do further. Please help.

    Thanks,

What model/make is your PC? And do you know which motherboard you have?

    Boozad,

Thanks for the quickreply. I had my PC custom build so it is not a brand. Is there a way to find out my motherboard?

    thanks,

Download and install Speccy and click on the motherboard tab on the left. Obviously you'll have to download from another PC and transfer the installer file over.

    EDIT: Or follow Linne's advice!

If you're 64 or 32 bit then go here and get the correct download.
