i plug my iphone in and nothing happens

    hello all,

i plug my iphone into my newly installed version of windows 7 and nothing happens.

before a 'autoplay' box appeared and i could browse the pictures. its wierd because itunes recognizes my phone and i have a 'my touch 3g' which when i plug in the 'autoplay' box appears and i can browse my photos in my phone (which is what i want to do with my iphone).

    any ideas?

    Hi.
    Whats your motherboard?
It´s a common issue with the new p55 platform. Asus have solved the problem and gues the others have to.
Try to update the bios to a later version. I did and it works fine after that with Itunes (latest version) and my Iphone 3g. (Asus p7p55d pro)

    Good luck, have fun

When you attach the iphone, does it acknowledge that there ther is power being added to it?

I'd say W7 hasn't discovered the device yet. Do a hardware scan and see if it picks it up.

So basically itunes should have started automatically once you insert the iphone. I think this is a program association matter. Mine is the same, but i know in Device Manager, the phone is listed under Portable Devices so it's all good.
