trouble updating driver for AMD Radeon 6570 HD

I've been trying to update my driver since yesterday. I tried following the insturctions that came along the latest driver (14.4) at the AMD website but the new driver still isn't installed. AMD has received feedback about the issue and posted the instuctions mentioned before, which I tried to follow, however my knowledge on the subject is minimal, any help is appreciated.

Here is the AMD page I visited: Desktop

There are a few notes on that page that need close attention:
Before installing this driver, please ensure you have uninstalled the previous driver using the Add/Remove programs option in the Control Panel and also deleted the installation folder for the previous driver. This folder can be found at the following locations:

    C:/AMD/support/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql
    or
    C:/AMD/support/14-4-win7-win8-win8.1-32-dd-ccc-whql

    and

AMD Catalyst Control Center requires Microsoft .NET4 Framework. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users may need to install the Microsoft .NET4 Framework as a prerequisite to use Catalyst Control Center.

There's a page on the AMD site that describes their prescribed uninstall method
How-To Uninstall AMD Catalyst Drivers From A Windows Based System

AMD install/upgrades don't always go smoothly, but uninstalling first often helps a lot.

thank you for your reply,i followed evrey instruction provided by AMD, this includes going to the contro pannel and uninstalling the previous driver with the AMD catalyst control center and deleting the folder mentionned in the instructions and then proceding to install the updated driver. However there's no sign of the new driver, furthermore i can start the AMD catalyst control center which was working fine before i uninstalled the previous driver

    Something is amiss.

If you uninstalled the previous driver and tried to install the updated driver (but failed? how... error message, code?) then you should not be able to start CCC. What am I missing?

Please post a screen shot of
    CCC - custom uninstall
    and
the Display Adapter in Device Manager
See: Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums
Post the following tabs: General and Driver.

After I see what you see, you might have to try to uninstall again (use custom, not express), or use a 3rd party utility.

The display adapter in Device manager
You can open Device Manager quickly by typing devmgmt.msc into RUN or SEARCH and pressing ENTER.

Yes, language does get in the way sometimes.

I can't open the rar file, please post the image on SevenForums.

    Merci

    Perhaps I misread your post.

It's possible that your native tongue is English, but the machine is set to display French.

If that is the case, then this is what I typed (Google translated to French)
I do not speak or read French, but Google translate often helps me.
It will take more time to read the screenshots, but I can try.

If it becomes too difficult, I will ask you to temporarily change the display language to English.

    thank you

    :)

This might help both of us then
Install or change a display language
Scroll down to almost the bottom to
    >To change your display language

and expand to show the How-to

I'll see what I see in the images already posted.

    Screen capture hints:
    Ctrl+Prtsc - fullscreen capture
Ctrl+Alt+Prtsc - capture only the active window.
You still have to paste it into Paint or other graphics app to save it.

If you use the Snipping tool, press the arrow next to new, and you can select a few other capture options (rectangle, full screen, window)

Ok, in the AMD screen select CCC to uninstall it. Leave the HDMI driver

On the device manager, right click the display driver and post a screen shot of the general tab , then press the driver tab and post that screen shot.

    Thanks
