    Turning off touchpad


    I just got a new laptop, switched to Windows 7, and this touch pad is driving me nuts. I went through this process on my old laptop, and it was simply an issue of getting a different driver, but I don't know which. Can you help?

    Synaptics Touchpad drivers installed, do the following:
    • Open Mouse Properties (Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Mouse)
    • Select Device Settings tab
    • Select Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached:

    This will disable touchpad always when a USB mouse is connected and enable it again as soon as a USB mouse is disconnected. If USB mouse is present at boot, touchpad will be automatically disabled.

Here is the issue, when my computer goes to sleep after it's on for a while when I move the mouse to get the screen back up it shows the backround no icons or anything to click. Same if I turn it off and turn it back on. I have to turn it off and on many times then go to safe mode and shut down...

Hi, I have an Asus UL50AG and I can't seem to disable the touchpad using Fn+F9. Any Suggestions? Win 7. ATKhotkeys. It's annoying as I'm typing to constantly reposition the cursor and my words become rearranged. Also its supposed to have multi gesture technology which isn't working either....
