    Common Problem but I'm helpless

    Hi,

When turning on computer screen relays message 'reboot and select proper boot device, or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key'

I've looked at a few videos and tried to gather as much info as I can but I have no idea.

I've been into computer setting (some blue screen and looked at device boot orders) and seen some videos saying I need to open it up and see if some cable has come out.

Can I get some help on what I should be doing to fix it? Basic step by step guide

    Thank youuuuuuuu

Hello James and welcome to Sevenforums!

When did this occur? Is this a new PC build or did you get this message all of a sudden after reboot?

It occurred when turning PC on, it's not a personal build, just a standard bought PC.

Hi James .. You need to Boot in to the BIOS .. Start your Computer and press the Delete Key ... Once in the Bios go to Advanced Bios Features .. Check that your Hard Drive is recognized ..

Read the Tutorial and follow the Steps ...

You might want to open your case and take a quick look at all your drive data and power cables first.
You did not mention what brand and or model computer you have so I'm not sure how to get into your BIOS. Some you hit the F1 F2 the Delete key, check with the paper work that came with it.
