Toshiba L550 laptop web Camera not working Win 7 64  

Please help. I have a Toshiba Satellite L550 laptop with web Camera not working but it did some moths ago--yet the face recognition works the camera so I know that driver camera combination works. I have uninstalled the current driver and reinstalled it and not only the original but supposed updates also..nothing will make the camera application work. I do not think the bios is the problem as I cannot find any references to the webcam in the bios.. Can anyone help please

The web cam is built into the Satellite L550..normally I would double click on web cam link and the light would show on the laptop screen top area. I would then record or click for photo capture..

Any ideas

The camera works as it were when I use the face recognition facility although I do not use this facility

Thanks for the input. I followed that link you gave and it sent me to the search p[age and maybe its just me but I could not find the drivers you sent me to download.. Sorry to ask but could could you please tell me what you searched for to get to this choice of both drivers
