Gateway Ne522 needs correct chipset drivers

I've been having a heck of a time getting the correct chipset drivers for a Gateway NE522. The machine originally came installed with Windows 8 and of course I want windows 7 on it. I cant seem to find the right chipset drivers and SM Bus drivers so that the laptop will see the touchpad. Everything else works fine but for some reason it doesn't recognize the touchpad. Help!!

Hi Looking at the Getway Website ... It seems they do not provide Chipset Drivers .. For a lot of their Models ..

It could be included in one of the Applications ..

I think the Chipset you need is the AMD A68M Fusion

Those drivers didn't work. I've tried a lot of different things at this point. I know the touchpad is physically intact and that there are no hardware issues here. What gives?
