Linksys Print Server WPM54G

I had a nice chat with an online tech support person on 8/21 about the WPM54G, and was told they are working on the software for Win7. Of course he/she did not have any idea when they would have anything ready. I even asked if they had a beta version that I may try or test.

Currently I have 2 solutions
#1 - connect the printer directly to my Win7 box, works fine lasts a long time. No other pc can print unless my Win7 box is on, which may not be the case and is not a good solution.

#2 - Set up my Win2003 box with the software for the print server and share the printer through it. This will work for me as it is also my DHCP server and is on all the time. I didn't do this initally because this server only has a 10M NIC and really didn't need to upgrade it to serve IP addresses.

I have not looked for any Win7 compatible print servers yet as I do like the linksys, and think will wait for the official release of Win7 and see how long Cisco takes to update.

Any have any luck with this?

I just got a new system with Windows 7 installed, and I have had my Linksys print working great on my old XP Pro machine with my HP 7210 aio, but I like everyone else can't get the scanning or any function that requires two way communication to work. So has anyone been able to figure it out, because I have reached the end of what I know how to do.

Thanks for your Help,
