    runnng 64 ?

That info was what I read off the Netbook. But just noticed today message saying ' a genuine version of Windows is not running ' I have the product key on the unit, but with driver issue, been unable to connect to check it or update with key.

If there is a specific way to confirm for you exactly what's running versus what is installed, let me know and I'll check it.

I had some difficulty with the flash drive download / upload of the drivers from the link you provided. I'm pretty sure the install wizard has installed them, but haven't yet tried to connect to the web. Going to do that now. Is there anything I need to do, or know about when attempting to get the connection setup??

Open the Connect to the Internet wizard by clicking the Start button , In the search box, type network, click Network and Sharing Center, click Set up a new connection or network, and then double-click Connect to the Internet. Follow the steps in the wizard ...

I plugged an Ethernet cable to book and router and the connection set itself up. Got the not genuine windows warning and it's connected and updating all window 7 settings. Taking awhile, 38% in the last 50 minutes. I'll see what happens when the DL completes and post here with updates.

Thanks for taking the time to hang in here!

It finally revealed there were over 115 Windows updates required and it took the rest of Fri. night /early Sat. for the downloads to transfer through. Then, the actual updating was still running when I left it Sat night. They're complete today. I'm not sure if the speed of this thing is going to help or set me back in what I want to use it for. I've got close to 45 on the routing speed and thought the CPU mem. / processing specs were really good? Maybe not?

As you suggested, I will post the new thread regarding the 'genuine Windows' issue. The key is on a Windows tag on the unit but??? Maybe it was some kind of demo or startup deal? I actually have 2 more downloadable versions of Win 8 from when I purchased a 3 version package earlier this year. Maybe going up to 8 will help speed things up?? But this is the 7 forum so, I'll worry about that later...just glad to have the drivers onboard to open up the com. link for now!

So, as for this issue, I am confident the drivers are in and working. Unless you tell me that the drivers could be causing the very slow downloads / apparent processing, I will close it out.

Thank you very much for helping me get this back in running order, no way I could have figured this one out on my own!!!!!!
