    Scanner Drivers

I'm looking for new scanner (25+ ppm) that will work w/7. Scantastik store claims nobody (fujitsu, canon, xerox, etc.) will work yet - drivers not available until year end. Does anyone know anything differently? I was able to get my HP officejet 7000 printer to work....thanks.

I have an Epson Perfection V500 Photo scanner that works perfectly in Windows 7 x64 as it did in Vista x64

I use WIA drivers and Photoshop/PaperPort to scan and not the Epson scanning software, so I don't know about that part.

As far as I know thier are plenty of scanners and all in one that work perfect with seven My epson NX415 works just fine. And comes with Win 7 driver support as you can see here Epson Stylus NX415, Drivers & Downloads - Technical Support - Epson America, Inc.

Even though W7 might have drivers for your printer/scanner bear in mind that some functions may be lost or limited with these drivers. Just something to think about.

For example with either my Epson R800 or Epson 2200 printers and W7 drivers I loose the ability to custom set my print properties, something quite important to me as I print my own photography work. Again, something to think about.

Thankfully Epson still supports these printers (5 & 7 years old) under Windows 7 and Vista (both in 64-bit OS's) but these are extremely popular printers.

I've had a CanoScan LiDE 80 for the last 2/3 years, I downloaded the drivers and software from Canon for Win 7 and they work ok.
