Experiencing driver issues reverting from Windows 8 to 7

I have just formatted a new Asus laptop with windows 8, and put a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64.

Unfortunately there are now 3 drivers missing: Ethernet Controller, SM Bus Controller and USB Controller. I tried both Chipset drivers designed for windows 8 from Asus's support site, without success.

The Laptop is an Asus F552EP, CPU - AMD Quad core A6-5200 2.0Ghz, 4GB, HDD 750

Can anyone point me in the direction of drivers which will work?

    Many Thanks
    Ben

Hi Ben ... Welcome to Seven Forums .. Your Lan Driver can be found in the Link below ...

    Realtek

Go to the Device Manager System Devices ...

What Chipset Series is stated there ? ...

    Thanks Maxie,

Is the Lan driver I need from that site this one: Win7 and Server 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1682807)

I looked through the list in device manager and also in system devices, I couldn't see anything named Chipset.

Could it be named something else?

No AMD either in System Devices, but on further searching, under Processors in the device manager list there is AMD A6-5200 with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics. This is listed 4 times.

Excellent. Thanks, that fixed up the missing USB controller driver. Now only the SM Bus controller. Although I have no idea what it does. Is there a driver available for this?

Initially there were 5 missing drivers, I got the wireless from the Asus website, and I installed two graphic drivers from AMD's site thinking one hadn't worked.

Now under display adapters I have 2 listed, an AMD Radeon HD 8400 /R3 series and an HD 8600M series. The graphics for this laptop is actually an HD 8670M.

Should I uninstall the 8400 and stick with the 8600M, or is there a better option?

Select the SM Bus controller. Right click select Property's / Details Tab ..

In the Volume section there should be some info there ..

Please Post it ... Leave the Graphics alone for the moment ...
