BIOS Update required to run CPU at full speed?..

Hey, guys!
Not sure, if this is right section.. But when ever I turn on my pc I get messige saying that I need bios update in order to use CPU at full speed. Problem is that I already have the newest version of BIOS that there is for my motherboard.
So I wanted to ask - is there a way to still use my cpu full speed without update (bypassing that error messige or what ever is it supposed to be; manualy add driver for cpu or what ever is needed to run it at full speed; or something else).

I bought new CPU cause my old one was slow. But now because of BIOS runing it on safe mode - my new cpu feels even slower..

Can you list you mother board & processor?
I'm going gt take an educated guess & say your motherboard does not fully support your CPU.

Tat motherboard does not appear to support E5000 of intel's core 2 duo, I believe Intel made changes to these that were not in the original E4000 & E6000 series & that motherboard either never had a newer bios for these chips or is just unable to fully support them.
As you have seen, the chip will run, but not at it's rated speed.

What speed is reported in the right-click of Computer and Properties? What speed is it supposed to be running at? This page gives the specs:
ARK | Intel® Pentium® Processor E5400 (2M Cache, 2.70 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Looks like you should be getting 2.70GHz on that Properties page.

Is there a way to somehow make new bios update like fool it or get what's needed in that bios to run this processor?

Probably not. A BIOS Update usually is for added or new features not originally available when the board was made. If there was an update for the board the manufacturer should have that posted and provide the update for downloading. If the CPU is running at its rated speed the next step for more speed is to overclock it, can be as dangerous as killing the board and/or CPU if something goes wrong.

Of course, that type situation is what keeps newer/faster/better computers selling.

Well, yea, it was supposed to be 2.7GHz.

My PC properties show 2.7GHz as well.

But CPU-Z shows:
Specification: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5400 @2.70GHz
Clocks (Core #0)
Core Speed 1200MHz.

I take it that that's the actual avelable speed or smth.? Because my pc realy feels slower with this new CPU than with my old one. Even tho my old one was like 1.4GHz dual core.
