Win 7 wont load sata driver. Please help!

I have an Asus P5RD1-VM mother board with a western digital 500 gb 7200 rpm sata harddrive. Win 7 pro 64 bit will not recognize it even though bios notices it in raid. I downloaded sata uli 5287 and unzipped to usb and told win 7 to install and it says no signed drivers found. the only driver I could find was from c-net. Can somebody please help me figure out how to get win 7 to detect my sata so I can Install it to that sata driver. Am I doing something wrong here?
