    Can't install drivers for DVD's

Hi all, I just bought a desktop unit with dual boot. Windows 7 Home Edition, and 8.1 Pro. The DVD units work fine on 8.1, but in 7, the units show up in the device manager with yellow triangles on them. They don't show up at all in the "Computer" Dialog box with the hard drives. When I try to install the drivers, I get the message that: "The best driver software for my device is already installed." All of my updates and service pack for the operating system (7) are installed. Can someone please help me? Thanks, Jim

    Hi

what the error for the drive in device manager? see if this helps you out. Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs

Hi Oscer1, your link worked. I clicked on the link (Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)), and it was automatically fixed. Thank you, Jim
