    Shouldn't I just restore to the factory image again and then perform the upgrade? There is nothing important that will be lost. I haven't installed any programs etc such as Office or similar.

    A big step? It was an inexpensive $119.00 for a good bit better OS. Further, given that there is no CD drive on the 1012, the Windows Anytime Upgrade was but a small step.

    Patrick: What I meant was going from Windows Starter on a limited machine to a Pro version was a big step. Most people wouldn't bother running a more powerful Windows on a netbook. It simply doesn't have the hardware to take advantage of the software.

    It's like putting high octane gas in a Corvair.
