Lexmark X5470 vista 64-bit drivers useable on win 7?

I have a lexmark x5470 and noticed they have only win vista drivers. What i want to know is if i can use the vista 64-bit drivers for my printer or if i must wait for win 7 specific drivers?Right now my lexmark x5470 is sitting useless until i know if the vista drivers for my printer will work or if i need to wait for win 7 drivers or get a new printer.I use win 7 home premium 64-bit.

No answer?I'm tempted to try the vista drivers since i need to do some printing now and can't wait for any drivers nor do i want to buy a new printer.I just don't want to mess anything up.

I used chat with lexmark and vista drivers are ok.

from my chat 30/1/2010 with lexmark...

Is there a windows 7 driver for the X5470 printer. I have new Dell XPS16 with windows 7 ultimate and it can't find a driver on the net. How do I proceed ? Thanks.
    Welcome to Lexmark Chat Support...
I'll help you to download the driver. Reference number 1530614069512221340.

There is no Windows 7 driver for this printer model, but we can use the Vista driver to install the printer on the computer.
What is the system type of the computer?
hi. dell xps 16 with 64 bit windows 7 ulimate

Click the link to download the Vista 64 bit driver and install the printer.
You can follow the instructions on the screen to proceed with the installation.

Installation went ok. It used compatibility mode(at least something did) and I printed ok with it.
