    I downloaded mobile device center.
I installed mobile device center. It says driver not successfully installed or something similar, but mobile device center is on my computer.
I have looked in the device manager and there is no bluetooth peripheral device under other devices.

I tried several other solutions but none of them worked perfectly as the last one that I tried after vigorously searching online.
Here's what I did when bluetooth on Windows 7 PCs that I had, didn't work with my iPhone:

    - Download the 'Windows Mobile Device Center' ( current version is 6.1 ) which you can download it from Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 | Windows Vista Support
this works for both Vista and Windows 7. I've tried it on both.

    - Install the downloaded software but it may not look like it worked on Windows 7 PCs. Vista automatically configures the settings on the bluetooth devices but for those who have Windows 7, here are the things you should do:

    - Go to 'Device Manager' from 'Control Panel' -Or- just right-click on Computer Icon and choose 'Properties' and then click on 'Device Manager'.

    - You'll see an 'Unknown Device' named 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device'

    - Right-Click it and click on "Update Driver Software" -Or- anyway you find it easy to bring up the Update driver window.

    - Click "Browse My Computer for Driver Software" button.

    - Click "Let Me Pick from a List of Device Drivers on my computer".

    - Select 'Bluetooth Radio' from the list if it asked you to select and then in the next window, it will show a list of drivers with Company Names in one list and Drivers in another. In the Company List choose 'Microsoft Corporation', not only Microsoft.

    - From the drivers list there may be one or more drivers with the name "Windows Mobile-Based Device Support" with different driver versions. Select one or the latest.

    - Ignore any warnings and keep pressing next and then Finish at last. If all goes well, the last screen will show the message that device driver is successfully installed.

Now, after manually updating the driver for your bluetooth device, in 'Device Manager' when you click on 'Bluetooth Radios', it should display one more item which will say 'Windows Mobile-based device support'.

There are few more things that you want to pay attention to. If you have already added the device in your 'bluetooth device list' that didn't work, then remove the device and add it again. After you add it, you might need to restart the computer if it gave you a connection problem error message.

Every PCs that had Windows 7 and Vista worked after installing this software and I hope it will work for you too.

    Hi,
I followed all the steps above but I still got a problem: after I remove the device from 'bluetooth device list', when I'm trying to add it back, those two drivers are gone. This is happening also if I'm turning off and then back on the bluetooth manually(wireless off>on).

Before removing the device, i've tried to send some files from phone to PC and it worked, but the way around (pc>phone) it didn't-"your device is out of bluetooth range"-or something like that. Windows Mobile Device Center says ''not connected'. I have no idea what else could I do..

    I'd appreciate any help...

How to install Dell wireless Bluetooth 370 on Dell stud

How to install Dell wireless Bluetooth 370 on Dell studio 1557 and Dell XPS 16.
In Windows 7, this Bluetooth adapter is not recognised as present, and Windows will not prompt you to install drivers for it and you will not see any evidence of its presence in device manager. However, when you download the latest driver for Dell wireless Bluetooth 370, extract it into a folder. Open this folder and then click the setup, If you're using Windows 732 bit. However, if you are using a 64-bit Windows 7, do not click setup in the main folder. Open the folder that is labelled Win64 meant for 64-bit Windows, then click the install button, which is labelled as (Inst.exe). This should install the Bluetooth adapter, and Windows will now recognise it.
When I did this, although Windows can recognise this adapter, it did not expose any of the Bluetooth services, which meant I could not use anything to connect to my laptop, including my Bluetooth headset and my mobile phone. After trawling the Internet for two months, I stumbled on a post on notebook forum.com (http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-inspiron-dell-studio/297416-dell-wireless-370-bluetooth-mini-card-problems-fixed.html) which pointed to an upgrade of this Bluetooth adapter (which has a broadcom chipset). The URL is as follows:
    http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/instrPop.asp?fn=&ffn=ftp%3A//esupport%3AvImvF88@ftp.gateway.com/pub/hardware_support/drivers/notebook/NV49C/Bluetooth_Broadcom_v6.3.0.3800_7a.zip&rp=&now=true
After downloading this upgraded software, extract it, and then just directly click on setup, and install over the previous installation. This seems to upgrade the software to allow exposure of various Bluetooth services which made it possible to connect to Bluetooth peripherals.

Thank you for replying supo, I've found the driver you ware talking about but I couldn't install it, because at some point it said "Bluetooth device not found/turn on bluetooth to continue-(OK/Cancel)". I want to mention that the blutooth was actually on, manually started from Services. I closed the error, hoping that the driver will be installed anyway. He prompted me for restart and after that, I tried to upgrade it using your second link but the "setup wizard was interrupted before complete instalation of Bluetooth Software". I think I should give up before going crazy.

    so still no working bluetooth...

It actually seems that the problem is not coming only from bluetooth drivers. Since now, I've tried to connect to a Blackberry 8520 and as I said above, sending files from phone to PC worked, but only that way. Today I thought that might be a phone problem, so I tried to connect another one. I used a Nokia 6300 and it worked even if Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver was not installed (Driver not found), as happened to blackberry before.

Thank you again for your support, but i think there is nothing else I could do, since the problem comes from phone... I'll buy a USB data cable, and i'll go ahed by using oldSchool but working connections
