Are you looking for the standard Widcomm drivers?

The website's downloads are down for the moment.

    Try googling other sources:

Then yes, I think this is the driver you need. I'll do some searching in my downloads to see if I have anywhere the latest version, 6.1 or so...

Couldn't find it in my downloads, found other links for download though, however they're not the latest 6.0 version of Widcomm but 5.1

It might work if u wanna give it a try, after all widcomm is an extensions to windows's Bluetooth Stack and it's safe to try.

The situation with add-on bluetooth adapters in the UK is a strange one, a lot of the cheaper adapters available are physically tied into the Bluesoliel software, which is provided for free with the hardware.

Where the problem with this occurs is when you need to update the drivers for a new OS, it's like the printer situation under Vista you neeed to buy the software package to get the drivers.

They sometimes have released a cut down version for free but the full package is commercial

On a side note I have such an adapter which I gave up on about a year ago - this now works OOB with build 7100 except for the lack of one particular driver from for my phone - and that may well be Sony

On my old pc wih usb 1.1 and xp bluesoleil bluetooth usb dongle was working fine.
Now im with usb 2.0 (1.1) on motherboard and have
problems with bluetooth device. I have tried with windows xp -32 bit and windows 7 64 bit and can't find a solution.
I can only send small files from phone to pc.
I think there is a comunication (driver) problem between system and usb.
Of course most new usb adapters work fine with usb 2.0.
