I'm terribly sorry for being impatient, I've been trying to fix this for days, it's just stressing me out. You know? Anyway, the model of my laptop is G75VW.

And here's a screenshot of my device manager:

I understand that, you have to be patient though as we're not here 24 hours a day and can only fit in our help around our daily lives.

Were those USB drivers installed previously?

OK, now that SCF /scannow has repaired corrupt files can you try a System Restore again please.

Let's try running a full disk check. Open an elevated command prompt and type in CHKDSK C: /R then hit enter. You'll be told the drive is locked and that CHKDSK will run at next reboot. Hit Y then enter and reboot.

You'll have to be patient here as the CHKDSK will take a long time, the length of time will depend on the size of your hard drive.

    Report back with the results.

Okay, I let the scan run over night while I was sleeping, and it was on my desktop when I woke up. So I guess it finished. I didn't get to see any results.

Shame, we could have done with seeing the results.

OK, download the linked USB drivers for your laptop and try to install them. Report back with the results.

Sadly, still no change after installing the drivers. Also, i can always do the scan again, if the results are crucial.
