Thanks Adrian but after further investigation I don't think it is the device
driver that is the problem. Maybe it is a problem with the Corel Win DVD software. I also have a new desktop with Windows 7 and a Blu-Ray drive. I checked the Device Manager on that computer and it is the same Microsoft driver from 2006 that is on my Sony notebook. The desktop came with CyberLink PowerDVD BD edition and Blu-Ray movies play fine. I guess I should post on the Seven Forums software compatibility section.
