    Something wrong with laptop mouse won't move ?


    Hello I am sorry if I have posted this before somewhere but on my toshiba satellite L650

    Here are the steps I have took

    Ran dban

    Reinstalled all updates some won't install

    Then when I turn on the mouse won't move at all the whole computer is froze

    Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on here now remember I can't work laptop at all, but I have a desktop as well if that helps any

    Are you saying that it was working before you installed the updates?

    Can you reboot into Safe Mode? I would try to reboot into Safe Mode then do a System Restore to a point prior to the updates. If that gets you going, then I would reboot into full mode and do the updates a few at a time until you find the one causing the problem. Have you installed all the proper drivers from the Toshiba website such as for the chipset?

    Here is how it went down, I had my laptop encrypted (veracrypt)

    I did not run system restore on veracrypt, I just put copy of win7 on and wiped drive

    Now going through the install of win7 the mouse is working right up untill I start updating it will get to a
    x2 drivers I carryon and it freezes, Any ideas

    What does this mean.

    "it will get to a x2 drivers I carryon"

    Maybe this will help with a clean install. A tutorial by Brink.

    Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

    I'm not sure I can do anything about that. I will try.

    Is the link in my post that is the problem or is it the tutorial itself?
