i realize this is an old thread now but this info maybe usefull to googlers
i'm using a Belkin 54g Wireless PCI Card, Model: F5D7000 ver.6000uk, Ralink RT2561 Chipset
i found some newer
drivers on the Microsoft Update Catalog website , v.3.0.9.1 - dated 02/june/2010
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=belkin%20wireless%20g%20pci
on the Microsoft Update Catalog website click on the titles to get more details, like one is x86
driver and other one is x64 driver v3.0.9.1
i had some problems with this wireless card drivers on windows 7 last year it was causing random freeze ups and blue screens,
Windows Update provided me with with old drivers from 2007 version 2.1.0.0, which caused the freeze problems
now i found some more up to date drivers from the Windows Update Catalog version 3.0.9.1 from 2010
seem to be ok so far, but its only been a couple of days, but so far so good
if anyone downlads them from there, note they are .Cab files, and the file names are very long and WinRar came up with an error, untill i shortened the .cab file-name, also copying them to another folder was a problem till i shortened the file-name
i had to extract them first using WinRar to a folder, then went into device manager and updated the drivers, telling windows what folder they were located in, job done.
its a nice site that Update Catalog, but you have to use internet explorer and run a Active X Control

If anyone has a Belkin F5D700 wireless Card
be careful when looking for drivers
There exists at least 8 versions of the F5D7000. Each one is using a differnet chipset and requiring its own driver. (note this might not be 100 % correct.)
- V1 Broadcom BCM4306
- V2 Boadcom BCM4306 (BCM94306 ??)
- V3 Ralink rt2500
- V4 Broadcom (???)
- V5 Atheros AR5212 (labeled as Atheros AR2413a-001)
- V6 Ralink rt61 (RT2561)
- V7 RTL8515L
- V8 ???
You can check your version by looking for a sticker at the front or back of your device (see
Belkin website for more information) or maybe by searching the web for the hardware ID, which you can find
- in the <device manager>
- right click your device (in the Network Adapters catagory (OR ) the Network Card that had the yellow exclamatory sign next to it)
- choose the <details> tab
- choose <hardware-IDs> form the drop down box.
- Your device's Hardware ID is: "VEN_[ID]&DEV_[ID]"
Google those Hardware ID Numbers, and you may find what your looking for.
