    Acer Aspire 5551

Trying to fix this computer for a friend. on Start up it asks which OS would you like to use? There is only one start up, can I remove the older listed one.

the webcam microphone will not work anymore, the video quality is fine ?? if i plug a useb web cam in, it works fine, audio and picture.

for 4 days I have been installing, un installing , updating and then even putting older versions of driver in to see if they would work.

I have no hair left too pull out so here I am hat in hand , asking for any advise , links or info,
    best regards
    Razz.

Can you post a screenshot of that screen? Your phone should do it. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums
Also a screenshot of Disk Management Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image

    this one

Devices seem to be alright, maybe you can install the manufacturer drivers for soundcard? It seems the generic Windows drivers are loaded.

I guess that's because you installed over the Windows 7 installation.

You can try use EasyBCD. Bootmgr - Move to C:\ with EasyBCD

You are using W10 at the moment, right? Backup first, then delete the Windows 7 entry (I guess in BootMenu).

Note: In case you have an UEFI-BIOS, wait until someone with experience gives the above method a go or propose a better method. Or go ahead if you feel adventurous. :)
