    win 7 drivers issue

i just have a simple question, i see a lot of drivers pack for win 7, is it neccessery to have a driver cd installed with win 7, or it's enough if i have the drivers for my hardware as win 7 compatible, so is there any need for that extra drivers package cds if i have the right installer drivers?

Open device manager and update the sound, wireless, ethernet, chipset, and graphics drivers. Then update the chipset and BIOS. Finally, use driver sweeper for some of these drivers if you are updating them.

Remember to reboot after each one, and create a system image when you are done if your PC/laptop is clean. You don't need a CD.

Frostmourne thank you for ur reply, im on 64 bit, i already have the intel inf driver, marvell yukon ethernet, evga nvidia driver, my bios is already flashed to the latest, i still need the sound driver (audigy 2 zs), i have one for 64 (i think the one modded by daniel to emulate the xfi driver), downloaded some time ago but didnt try it yet. assuming i have all of these drivers, u dont think that i need some third party drivers that 7 will need to recognize some devices or hardware.
wish everything will work ok, i need to try 64 bit at last, i have 6 gb of rams and still on 32 bit, and if u ask me why not xp or vista 64, i would say xp have more problems in 64 and vista is a problem by itself, again hope that win 7 64 is the solution.

You'll have to check device manager when you install 7. Everything should work and 64-bit is the way to go. For your graphics card, use driver sweeper.

what is driver sweeper and why to use it? i know it's a cleaner tool for drivers, but do u mean that i have to use it to clean the driver that win 7 will find it best for my vga, than after i have to install the driver provided by the vga card manufacturer....and maybe u recommend to do this for sound and network also, is this what u mention to do, is it necessery with win 7?

Driver sweeper cleans up leftover drivers. Run it after uinstalling your drivers in windows - gpu + sound - in safe mode, then reboot back into safe mode and install the newest drivers. It enhances stability:
