    Problems with installing LAN driver

I've received a custom built computer from a friend who no longer needs it, and after taking all of the files off I then tried to connect it to the internet via my Ethernet cable and nothing happened, so I went into the Device Manager and there is no driver installed for this port.

The motherboard is an Asus M2N-MX, and when I look at the driver for that port, it doesn't work.

Is there something I have done wrong? The Ethernet cable definitely works but I can't seem to get the driver to work.

The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit SP1

Really could use some help here.

    Thanks,
    Ewan

Ah, well I have since moved the hard drive for that PC into my main machine. Now when I go to install the driver for the LAN for this motherboard I am having the same issue.

I went and switched the hard drives back once more and when I loaded my old system which is also Windows 7 I was met with the same problem?

I am really confused now, could you think why this is?

Just tried the Vita version and that didn't work? Is there a version available for Windows XP Pro? I will install my copy of that onto a new HDD and use that
